Hart & Huntington x Good Ride
Print & Digital | Package Design, Illustration, AR Design

Objective: The goal for this project was to create packaging for a product that integrated an augmented reality experience. The idea was to create an exclusive product and package for a collaboration between Hart & Huntington and Good Ride with proceeds going to veteran charity Infinite Hero.

Concept: My concept for this project was to design an exclusive t-shirt that would be sold in Hart & Huntington stores that helped to promote the Good Ride charity event, a motorcycle ride that raises funds for Infinite Hero. The package design mimics a tattoo sleeve using ink-like illustrations to connect to Hart & Huntington along with motifs of motorcycles and Americana to relate to Good Ride and Infinite Hero. The AR experience allows the user to scan the hang tag to learn more about the companies and purchase tickets for the charity event.
The illustrations utilize motifs to tie in with tattoos, motorcycles, and American symbols to connect to the brand collaboration and charity. The illustrations were first drawn by hand and then painted in Photoshop to create the "ink" look. The dog tag shape makes a connection to the military and veterans, and the t-shirt tag incorporates a style that is both edgy and vintage. The back of the tags provide further information on the collaboration and product details.
For the augmented reality component, the consumer would use the Layar App to scan the front of the decorative hang tag. This would bring up a promotional video about the Good Ride event as well as the options to visit the Hart & Huntington and Good Ride websites. Additionally, the user can click to follow on Twitter to keep up with the latest news or click the link to directly purchase tickets for the charity rally.
