Volcom Triple Threat Festival

Objective: The goal was to design and create a vehicle wrap design that could be used to promote a special event. For this project, I also developed an original festival for Volcom that would help to extend the brand voice and drive customer loyalty through a unique and exciting experience.
Concept: The Volcom Triple Threat Festival is a three weekend event with each focusing on a specific sport- surfing, skateboarding, or snowboarding. The festival would provide a unique marketing strategy to expand the customer experience and establish further awareness. For the designs, the collage pieces were created to emulate the youthful, unconventional, and punk aesthetic of the brand while also exuding a sense of adrenaline and energy. The various elements in each design utilize motifs to connect and relate to each of the three board sports.
The idea for the festival would be to create three weekend events where each focuses on a specific sport. The festival would start in Newport Beach, California for surfing, then to San Jose for skateboarding, and finishing in Lake Tahoe for snowboarding. Each weekend would include a sports competition with prize opportunities along with live music and food and shop vendors.
The designs utilize a collage style combining different elements that relate to each of the board sports of surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding, along with the black and white stripes that are iconic to the Volcom brand. Different billboard and poster displays would be used in the area to promote the festival, along with an invite postcard that would be given out in Volcom stores and mailed to social influencers, publicists, and athletes. Additionally, social media such as Instagram and SnapChat would be used to promote the event.
