Objective: For this project, the goal was to create an original narrative to use for a book design along with an exploration in typographic techniques to establish voice, rhythm, and pacing. Additionally, a digital version of the book was also created for tablet screen devices.

Concept: For this book, I chose to explore the birth of rock 'n roll in the U.K. along with its history, development, and impact on both music and society. The book highlights key players such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and more. This period of music history had a profound impact on society, working as a major proponent in shaping the values and ideals of its generation but also making a permanent mark in music. The type, layout, and color were designed to reflect the edgy ideals of rock 'n roll during the British Invasion of the 60s and 70s.
