Objective: The goal was to conceptualize and create a branded mobile application prototype for a catered experience to the pertaining user. For this project, the idea was to develop a party planning app that would make party planning easier and more streamlined to provide an enjoyable and less stressful process.
Concept: Oftentimes, planning a party can be quite stressful for the host who juggles multiple tasks and responsibilities at once. Parties can be overwhelming with the amount of researching, scheduling, ordering, and planning that is involved. The Party Plan app makes the process of planning a party easier and more enjoyable with features and resources all in one place. The app allows the user to manage teams, schedule reminders, send invites and create guest lists, discover ideas, search service options, manage a budget, and more.
The Party Plan app includes six key features: the ability to create to do lists, manage teams for collaboration, discover ideas and inspiration, manage guest lists and send invites, plan and stay on budget, and find resources, services, and venues. The calendar feature makes it easy to create due dates for when things need to be accomplished as well as a quick task list to see what's coming up. The team feature allows collaboration in event planning with the ability to send messages as well as assign tasks.
After sending invites, guests are able to easily choose whether they will be attending or not, allowing the party host to manage the guest list. The services feature makes it easy to find any need for a party whether venues, music, caterers, photographers, and more. Users can also filter results based on location, price, rating, and keyword. Additionally, users can read and upload ratings and reviews for any service in order to see what others experienced.
The budget feature makes it easy to stay on track and divide how funds will be spent. There are a variety of service options to explore for any need, and the ideas feature provides the chance to explore countless party inspiration from food, to decor, to gifts and more. In addition to the key features, the Party Plan app allows the user to create a profile, save and work on multiple parties at once, and add friends.
