Hands and Feet
This project aimed for a duality between photography and drawing focusing on the Human Body, especially hands and feet.
I photographed my grandfather’s hands and feet because of their exceptional detail and intricasy of lines due to his age and agricultoral manual labour. These are some of the photographs that resulted from that photoshoot.
Afterwards I was to chose one of the photographs to proceed with through the rest of the project. The first work was charcoal and sanguine chalk to understand the anatomy and proportions of the feet. The second project was in oil pastel in order to train a painting technique and understand volume, colour and ambience. Both can be seen in the next page.
