KPMG Digital Accessibility Processbook

KPMG Digital Accessibility brief.

This project was commissioned by the design team at KPMG, who wanted to work with me to produce a series of innovative ideas and push the boundaries of a typical design project. The brief asked me to solve a digital accessibility issue, through the use of existing technology. What I worked on was entirely up to me, and meant that I spent a large chunk of this project researching and conducting user research in order to narrow down the scope of project.

With the help of clients at Teesside & District Society for the Blind, I designed an apple watch app which would help to improve independence for the visually impaired when traveling. The app would make use of the haptic motors built into smart watches, and feedback from Bluetooth beacons in stations to direct the user towards their desired transport.

This process book, which was presented to KPMG and represents the creation process, uses textures and colours which are the most accessible for someone with a visual impairment.
