Learning From The Past: Lester Beall

Discovering Design In America: A Graphic Design Odyssey.

A project on a lesson from the past. In this project, I took a lesson from the the icon Lester Beall. With a style in between Postmodernism and Heroic Realism, Beall was the epitome of Modernism. One can easily identify a Beall poster through his repetitive use of lines and arrows. The color blocked backgrounds of his pieces and the bold American serif font with a contrasting tall sans serif font. Please enjoy my interpretation of the Lester Beall.
