Rarely since my IB works had I felt so excited about a project.
Founded on an analysis of the Fisher House by Louis Kahn I was prompted to create my own residence which was to conjure the same architectural principles showing a clear inspiration as well as a clear derivation from the Fisher House. By far one of my most successful and sound concepts my final was a 2 bedroom residential house.
Although I did not manage to finish the maquette for the deadline, I feel the piece had a distinguishable architectural concept and an indepth dimensionality and I can definitely say I am very proud of it.
Ideally in my upcoming freetime I will be able to complete the piece in the form of: a finished architectural maquette (including the in-builts), a clear presentation of the interior design as well as a rendered 3D, succssfully extending the school task to an exhaustive personal portfolio worthy-piece.
