The process of the ideation originated from an exercice with primary in a two dimensional way. Two forms were retained to work in a more in depth manner. From the sketch models, exploration alloted refinement for two separate ideas. With even further honing a single concept was extracted.

The final space is centrally organized around a structure reminiscing of a monument by its attributes. On the surrounding is an abstract architectural assemblage of equilateral triangles coming together on a serpentine line. Its numerous openings allow for a multiple side approach of the center piece. Both structures are elevated on a smooth levelled platform to accentuate the central and ritual aspects of the whole. Light is an important aspect as the different open volumes allow the light to flood the whole space. The lines created by the different angles the supporting pillars and the the steep roofs add dynamism and create interesting and ever changing shadows.

A maquette created from the analysis of an exercice of combining primary shapes results in a surprising monumental abstract space.
