The social issue is the case of intolerance towards the LGBTQ and moreover, Transgender community with particular focus on a bathroom setting where discrimination and intolerance are overbearing. During the research process we found that in South-Africa, there is still a lot of oppression towards the community but instead of, like in many other countries where people are creating awareness and protesting for their rights, it is still a very secretive and taboo subject of discussion.

The aim of this project was to create an awareness campaign to put the idea out there for people to discuss the topic and become more aware of the oppression and discrimination against those members of the community known as the ‘other’. The whole awareness campaign is focussed towards bathrooms and thus all deliverables are bathroom related.
