Hagley Magazine Re-design

In 2018 I re-designed Hagley's magazine, going from a heavy, grid-focused layout to a much more open style. The "waves" of water in Hagley's water wheel logo were extracted and used throughout as design elements, backgrounds, and photo borders. The script headline is inspired by water flow, and the angles in the word "Hagley" on the cover are taken directly from the angles in the water wheel logo. The new design was very well received.

In 2019 the magazine earned an Honorable Mention in the prestigious American Alliance of Museums Publications Design Competition. The other Honorable Mention for this international award went to Pentagram for their re-design of the White House History Quarterly Magazine (#50).
