The task was to highlight the role media plays in our self-image. We created a special issue of the Reporter magazine focused on the discussions of body image and our obsession with what the media projects as ideal body types.

Below: The other published issues contain examples of my design and layout work including a few that I art directorshed.
As the Art Director of the Reporter, Rochester Institute of Technology’s school magazine, I managed the Art Department which consisted of all the Photographers, Illustrators and Designers. I also Art directed photo shoots and design/layouts for the magazine.
The content for the magazine would be collected on weekends which left a short time frame for working on concepts. This challenge required tapping into the collective of the design staff and leveraging the individual design sensibility through a decentralized fashion.
