Subscription Identity Project: Sneaker Geeks

For this project my goal was to create something that I felt passionate about. I really like fashion and different types of fashionable shoes. So I chose to make a subscription service for people that may want a pair of new shoes every few months but don't want to do all the hard work of picking the shoe.
When I first started thinking about this project I was struggling a lot with creating a logo that related to geeks and would work on packaging. I tried to make as many logo variations as possible. Even if the logo sucked or the concept wasn't something I liked, I presented it to my teacher to get her reaction. Getting her input was helpful.
After working with DNA ideas and other nerdy glasses ideas, my teacher and I decided that it was best to use a simple logo that read well. We chose the super-sketched and scratchy logo. I added very low-key texture.
I really liked the idea of all the sneaker boxes coming in a burlap bag to add an old school, relaxed feeling to the packaging.
For the website, I wanted to create a friendly and clean looking site that was easy to read, so I chose a light background color. I used the sneaker drawing to create a pattern to bring that part of the brand into the website.
