AC system​​​​​​​

There are two main features within the whole design.

Amphibious – It can be turned into water mode by transforming and adding attachments.

Styling Shell – Based on the purpose of improving user’s confidence, I connect the prosthetic with fashion and style.

The name "AC" actually comes from "Aqua" and "Crusta", which mean water and shell in Latin. And those are the features mentioned above. 

Because of my passion and research about creature and sci-fi things, I’ve wished to design a prosthetic for so long. Looking forward to something different, I tried to design it with my skill from the field about concept art and monster design.

For the prosthetic users, it is almost impossible to get on  water activities such as swimming. Therefore, I want to design an amphibious prosthetic for some different solution.

For the stability underwater, the prosthetic need to be OGAP-OPL. As for the material, the main structure is made out of aluminum.

The angle of ankle needs to be adjustable for transforming. The idea of locking mechanism comes from the rotary tool. 

Some disabled think it’s kinda shame to wear prosthetic. So I try to connect prosthetic with personal style to increase their confidence.

As for the style, I build a normal shell as the base, then I start sculpturing in ZBrush. Eventually, I create four styles below, BASIC, STEAMPUNK, SCI-FI, and INSECT.
