VISION
Design, being perceived as a different entity, away from the natural proceedings of the daily, was to be taken back to the user. A complete transformation from being an isolated realm to being a collaborative platform, placing focus on its end user was the intenton. The sequence was thus an attempt at blurring this specific divide.
COLLABORATION
Students of art, product design and architecture came together to distill out words that are common across all principles in order to apply them to realise the sequence. Words such as harmony, balance, unity, hierarchy, repose, accentuation, symmetry, asymmetry, contrast, rhythm, scale, gradation, repetition, vitality and restraint were chosen as themes to be reinterpreted as vocabular clues for creating pieces with the same visual impact. Colour, material and texture were also made to coordinate with the larger idea of the unifying themes. Another centralising theme was the simplicity of the idea that had to be presented to the audience, and their understanding stood as the proof of blurring the intended boundary.
