I like this cover because of the angles that the photos were taken at a in the background. This uses visual movement and draws the eye to the title of the book. This book makes me think about new york city and stocks.

I think a bad book cover is one that has too much on the cover that distracts the eye.

I am going to create a front, back, and spine for the book The Great Gatsby

I started with a blank page and added various shades of gray with a green dot and then blended them together.

I then added in the dock and how did this was I took a image off the web and used camera raw to make the dock look less realistic and to fit the ascetic of the design.

I added the publisher and the isbn and played with the placement.

I started to add typography to the book cover.

I started to play with the back of the book and the summary.

I finalized the summary and changed the font to make it more readable. 

I changed the font and color of the titles and author to complement the color story.
