Meditations on Mark: Daily Devotions from the Oldest Gospel
This book is a collection of daily devotions intended on guiding the reader through the book of Mark. For this cover the author wanted an interesting image but did not want to use an icon of St. Mark. After doing some research I found a piece by Vittore Carpaccio that represents St. Mark as a winged lion. I loved the colors and textures so I decided to use it for this cover concept.
