This poster is made as a school project, the point was to merge somehow Vienna's connection with Danube and Wagner's 100 years anniversary of his death. He shaped modern day Vienna like almost nobody. Therefore a tribute in a shape of a Poster to his life and work was unavoidable. The landmark that was picked is Schemerl Brücke. Vienna was hit by two devastating floods in 19th century, so a new solution was needed. Otto Wagner helped a lot to regulate the flow of Danube, and this bridge/damm in Nußdorf, Vienna is a real crown juwel of this whole project. Two statues of lions are standing on both river banks faced upstream. As if they were guardians of the Donaukanal.
