Here I paint with ink and alcohol on YUPO, a synthetic paper recycled from plastic. Ink reacts on this even and waterproof paper very fascinating to spirit that consists of 90% alcohol. This process leads to astonishing results. More specifically the alcohol decomposes the ink within the pigments, allowing new shades of color to appear within the same color. The liquid ink mixed with alcohol is being moved by heat and air with a hair dryer or a straw on the surface until it becomes completely dry. This creates beautifully luminous and slightly transclucent layers of paint. This procedure can be repeated continuously until the composition becomes harmonious. The surface is occasionally sprinkled with pure alcohol creating shapes reminding of the cosmos.
