Fashion-meets-adventure in our Africa-inspired collaboration with Saltbeat, a high-performance swim and surf fashion wear.
In 2019, Saltbeat introduced the Amalhe Collection. Amalhe means ‘the beautiful ones’ in Zulu. Our exclusive collaboration was influenced by the diverse artwork and colorful patterns found in traditional African garments.
The vivid patterns and monochromatic geometrical motifs are an ode to nature’s perfect imperfections. Forms, shapes, colors and textures are in sync with the richness and boldness of the African region.
The different patterns instead of clashing, they create an eclectic and versatile selection of water wear to choose from.
The most challenging part of the design was to work on the pattern mix and positioning and to find the most striking combination for each apparel.
