Exploration of urban occupation in flood zones along the Chao Phraya River, in Bangkok.

Given the lack of green areas in Bangkok, this project seeks to achieve a balance between nature and urbanization. It is sought to reactivate both sides of the river, generating urban parks extended along its route. An edge effect is achieved.

The intervention respects the pre-existence of certain buildings of iconic character,religious and institutional that are on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.Buddhist temples, sports centers and buildings that stand out in height will coexist with the proposed interventions in the same space.

The proposal seeks to channel the high population density through different volumes containing housing, hotels, markets, viewpoints and offices. The location strategy works like expansive germ, colonizing the river in all its extension. Modulated through an orthogonal grid, the buildings grow vertically and horizontally forming a "tetris" kind of image.
