The motives of the animation are reflective of both our cultures, Greek and Indian, as well as our perception of ‘home’. Both of us share similar experiences when we return home: a feeling of discomfort and disconnection, closeness with family but a sense of loss when dealing with old friends, and the drama and judgement faced within society. At the same time, since we have both lived in London away from home for a fair amount of time, we still feel a sense of displacement and are not sure whether we would call it ‘home’. Our aim with this brief was to address these issues and also present a narrative of our experiences between London and home.
