Growing up with my school cats

Growing up with my school cats
Growing up in Singapore, I have had many experiences with cats - stray or housepet. I grew to love cats, and took many photos of them wherever I went.
In school, I got to know this clowder of cats who were dearly beloved by most students and caretakers. In the short span of two years, like many others they became a natural part of school life and I was heartbroken when I found out the school removed most of the cats which traumatised the remaining cats.
I hold this photo dear to my heart. It was an unexpected opportunity to capture this moment, where this family of cats were snuggling together in the wee hours of the morning when I had blearily trudged to school for the first lecture of the day. The calico tomcat - a big boy, snuggling with his mom, and the other grown-up kits resting nearby in this sweet familial moment.
These cats showed me what a family was about. Siblings fight,
and make up.
There were moments when siblings were weirdly synchronized,
and completely sweet with each other.
And I hope wherever these cats are now, they are content.
