I was watching a show recently that was sort of a monster/thriller based program. In the midst of it they played an old song from the 1940/50's that got me thinking. It is actually a common practice to old songs with that era of music. I rationalized it has a lot to do with the underlying secrets behind the cheerfulness of the music which was a cloak of the american way of life. And I had this image stuck in my head after that.
