The function of the building is a museum of fashion. The design can be described by the quote by Frank Lloyd Wright, “Form follows function – that has been misunderstood. Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual union.” The building serves as a reinvention of the fashion museum. Instead of having a rigid form that separates the exhibition pieces from the viewer, the concept “A place to see and be seen” was incorporated. The building was designed not only to display fashion but to put the visitors on display. To do this, the exhibition space was designed to be a 360 degree showcase made possible by incorporating the phenomenon of refl ection and mirrors. The experiential design is not limited to the interior space of my building but can also be seen in the actual structure. The entrance of the building is designed to pull the visitor into the lobby space and then expand in all directions, vertically, horizontally and below the ground to give the viewer a slightly sublime feeling.
