We are regularly commissioned by various blogs, websites and publications to illustrate accompaniments for editorial pieces. We’ve created a number of images over the past few years, using different styles to grab readers’ attention, introducing them and engaging them in the topics being discussed in the articles. We love editorial illustration design, we’ve really honed our ability to tell a story through images across different media. Collected here are a number of illustrations drawn using our favourite current media, the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. Using different brushes, we can obtain a really tactile, hand-drawn style that emulates our traditional painting style. We love the textural look to these images, they feel really authentic and yet still maintain the bright colours and vivid tones that we love about digital illustration. We’ve really enjoyed working on these pop culture illustrations, we’re always looking for excuses to draw awesome, iconic female icons.
