Design Brief: Design a Magazine Cover reflecting a current issue
The name of this fictional magazine is inspired by the names of two iconic magazines 'LIFE' and 'TIME'.
This cover was inspired by the Cambridge Analytica - Facebook issue that was in the news in early 2018. The logo of Cambridge Analytica has been turned upside down to create the form of a net collecting Facebook user data. The title 'DEMOCRISIS' reflects how this had affected democracies around the world. The upside down user heads combine with the Cambridge Analytica logo to show how civil conversations had been turned upside down in an increasingly partisan political climate. The background consists of light grey text from the topic 'Democracy' in Wikipedia. The text has been clouded in certain areas to reflect the feeling uncertainty caused by this event.
P.S. After the design was completed and the name selected, I came to know about another magazine called LIME. However, this does not share any relation to any magazine of the same name and is to be treated as a fictional magazine.
