Leon Creek Greenway

San Antonio River Walk Hike & Bike Path
This 30-mile trail takes bikers through schools, the river, workplaces, restaurants, and parks, granting it the very utilitarian purpose of informally showing visitors around the city. It begins in Brackenridge Park, the location of the San Antonio Zoo, and ends in Mission Park.

Government Canyon State Natural Area
Just outside San Antonio, the Government Canyon State Natural Area covers more than 12,000 acres of natural land. Contained in it is 26 miles of back and front country biking trails that are suitable for a variety of skill levels.

Medina River Trail
A natural gem, Medina River Trail runs mostly parallel to the Medina River in south San Antonio. Every once in a while, the concrete trail does break away from the river to take bikers through the surrounding trees. Still, the varying surroundings grant bikers numerous opportunities to enjoy unique sights during their seven-mile ride.
