[5] CEO

THE STORY'S INSPIRATION:

- Trump.
- One of my goals after he was elected was to use art to show how repulsive a person I think he is and how absolutely distraught I was at him being elected. I procrastinated. Not anymore.
- I’m toying with doing more political pieces like this, maybe one a series.
- I wanted to show him as just as an utter pig who think only of himself, is a misogynist, racist, classist bigot.
CONCEPT IMAGERY STARTING POINT:
- I wanted an image that has the facial FEEL of Trump but from the perspective of someone he’s just bilked, or torn from their family
- I wanted it look like he'd look in their eyes
- I also asked the illustrator to start from the perspective of the Obama HOPE poster so we could see it's almost Portrait or Dorian Grey opposite in a surrealist way
CREATIVE PROCESS DEVELOPING THE IMAGERY:
- This went pretty smoothly and there were few iterations
- The challenge was more subtle in making the HOPE poster colors a bit more recognizable
- I really liked the way Trump looks like a carnival mirror monster version. It was exactly what I was going for.
