The Sans Serif was completely designed for my Intro to Typeface Design class, at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The original reference was taken from a poster I saw hanging on the entrance of a shop at Savannah's city market.
Keeping the counterforms consistent was probably the biggest challenge in the project. The final typeface has a cool, retro, old label feel, and it's a great choice for display purposes. This project helped me understand type design a lot better and I can wait to create more fonts. Hopefully I'll get to do that soon enough.
