I used the the sunken copper vessel with the cut-outs in place of the frosted glass ceiling fixture on the ceiling of a former apartment and it cast great shadows. I TIG welded the mirror after designing it on CAD. The small silver container's shape was based on a eucalyptus seed pod. The small copper container was designed to represent its use: storing violin strings.
