Multiple means of engagement.
By Including a weekly calender into students' interactive notebook allows students to visualize their expectations for the week limiting classroom risk and sensory stimulation.
Using KWL as a method of engagement grants students autonomy and allows them to summarize their thoughts, encourgaes students to ask questions, and allows for them to reflect on their learning process.
Student self evaluation charts allows to students to chart their personal weekly reflections in order to motivate the student to adhere to particular behavior or inspire them to grow academically.
Multiple means of Representation.

By using flow charts to organize thoughts while taking notes students can write in their own words a comparison of two concepts or objects to develop an argument.
Using fill in the blank guided notes is another way to ensure students are not overwhelmed with pacing while allowing them to hear and see the key elements of a topic.
Side by side notes allows students to arrange their thoughts and compare two or more concepts at one time.
Multiple means of representation
Foldable graphic organizers and vertical charts are two methods of representation for students. Likewise the folds on the organizer act as a physical manipulative when in use.
The usage of timelines including images allows students to read and see the topic being taught at the time so students can visualize a concept.
The usage of images to convey a concept is another method of representation for example Rose the Riveter is an example of propaganda.
Action Expression.

Allowing students to use choice boards within the class to allow for the student to express their knowledge in the most comfortable ways.
Providing students with an area to store all of their findings for the unit, chapter, or lesson allows to students gather and store all the information needed and keep it in one place.

Similar to before the self evalutation chart provides students with a framework for goal setting allowing students to structure their feedback according to class goals.
