At the beginning of this course, I used most of my photoshop skills in order to create this thumbnail. That mostly included the use of filters and distortion.

For this work, we were tasked to take pictures around our school that represents the school the best, naming it the "This is Sisler" collage. For each picture, we had to create a kind of collage-like / cut-out look and because I have never done something like that, I did not create such an environment in my opinion. I enjoyed editing the logo though.
I used red to represent Sisler because it is in our logo. The gradient I used for the logo is what I'm most proud about.

Here, was just playing around with the selection tools, image adjustments, and filters throughout photoshop. Since I am used to doing those kind of things, I had fun going nuts with it. I am proud of both of these pictures. I mostly used the rectangle selection tool and an abundance of hue & saturation changes. I then mainly used filters on the image.

Using the clone stamp tool to get rid of all the text on a magazine was tough at times but overall was pretty fun and easy. We were tasked with doing one simple magazine and one complex magazine. Ironically, I found the simple magazine harder because of the shading at the top of the magazine. Even though, the hand and hair of the man in the complex magazine was pretty difficult, the shading was harder to copy with the clone stamp tool.

The task was to recreate a magazine cover entirely. This meant we had to pose similarly and have a similar font but change what the text says. This was particularly hard for me as finding a cover photo was very time-consuming and even if one was found, posing the same way did not work out too well. I also had to be careful to not pick something out of my wardrobe range (ex. a hoodie will not be able to substitute a suit). I think I recreated it well with one minor problem, I'm too big; the photo was shot differently than the way the man's was.

We had to take pictures of ~25 textures and use 18 of them in InDesign to create 2 Grid Posters. It was fun to take the pictures and change their color to a nice purple-pink. I had to put each picture into photoshop and colorize them. Nothing was really challenging but the tedious work of inserting each image.

I love this project. We were tasked to create a photo with multiple versions of us using multiple layers. This required a steady camera and a constant light value. While not all of my pictures' light were constant, I still managed to cut myself out by of each photo by layer masking and create an amalgamation I am proud of. I learned how the light value is important and will work harder next time to make it a constant.

I have never used the healing tool but it was very straight-forward. The strategy to smooth skin was also pretty straight-forward: using a smoother & shinier copy of the original image layered on top with lower opacity. While before I was just using the clone stamp tool to edit out acne and fix skin problems, I can now do it with the healing tool.

To recreate Andy Warhol's style of art, I had to revert an image of mine to the point where its details are black and white, fill in said parts with different colors by setting the layer to multiply and painting with the brush, proceed to copy the image three times in a bigger canvas, and then making each image a different hue. I do not know much about the layer settings so this gave me a better insight on a way to use it.
I found it challenging to make this pixelated image sharp.

In the activity, we were tasked to create a recipe page using some family recipe. Coincidentally, I had recently made a cake prior to the announcement of this activity so I had pictures already. All that was left is to design the page within Indesign. I had the recipe as well. I had a bit of trouble figuring out Indesign but in the end, it worked out.
I love the kind of cutout shape I made in the middle. I really wish my pictures matched better though.

In this activity, we were tasked to recreate an existing movie poster into some kind of parody of it, but it had to be made from scratch. It took a bit to find a poster but I eventually decided to parody gravity and just make it a picture of a void instead of an astronaut. The text was the most time-consuming as we had to replace every name with a made up one. I'm pretty proud of this recreation.

Using the clone stamp, healing, and smooth tools, I was able to fix the damage the old black and white photo had and by using overlay layers, I coloured the image. The toughest portion was restoring the damaged photo as it never worked in my favour. Even though I completed it, I still feel like it is too shiny and cloudy to ever be a real-life photo.
