Indigenous Indians

India is an ancient land and inhabited by a large number of indigenous people, these people are the living examples of the ancient civilization in India. Various regions of India serve as the home to these large groups of tribal people who are still away from the light of modernization. With more than 84.4 million, India has the The largest tribal population in the entire world spreading over 75% of forest land of the country.

In India, these tribal people are known as Adivasis and are more compelled to live below the line poverty. They still maintain the simplest form of lifestyle and earn their livelihood cultivation, collecting forest products, and hunting. they take only what is needed from nature and are largely self-sustained. They worship nature.

The classic Indian epics such as the Mahabharata, the Ramayana and the Puranas refer to many exotic tribes, describing them as superhumans or subhumans. Narrations about these tribes are often mixed with mythology and fiction. These tribes include Gandharvas, Yakshas, Kinnaras, Kimpurushas, Nagas, Suparans, Vanars, Vidyadharas, Valikilyas, Pisachas, Devas ( within them Vasus, Rudras, Maruts, Adityas) and Asuras (within them Danavas, Daityas and kalakeyas.)

Mythological beings or humans?
From a  historic point of view, these exotic tribes simply may have been tribes that did not interact frequently with mainstream culture and remained neglected. Hence knowledge about them was very limited, which spurred the invention of fables about them.In any case, Hindu religious texts describe these tribes
as having a profound influence the Hindu culture, but remaining separate from the said culture, perhaps due to their geographic isolation from the rest of the world. The text describes the tribes base's as ranging from high mountains (such as the Yaksha and Rakshasas) to deep forests (such as the Vanaras) or beyond the mainstream Indian civilization (as with the Devas and Asuras) which prevailed in the plains of Saraswati, Sindhu and Ganga.

Here I have attempted to enhance the beauty of these exotic tribes by using the mainstream fabled and the mythological depiction of them being Superhumans or evolutionary subhuman.
