Stranger - such a strange word. 
Everyone knows it. Everyone uses it. 

But what does it mean? Someone could be a stranger by default, others could become strangers. Everyone is always a stranger to someone. There is no real universal definition of what a stranger exactly is. So I asked strangers to define the word “stranger” to me. This small intervention shows how personal the perception of “a stranger” is and that it differs from human to human, from experience to experience.

I put the definitions together in a zine and added a small illustration to each definition.
