Embroidery on photographs. An interesting way to add texture to 2D artwork. This series is experimental and my first shot with this concept. 

.photo-transfer onto cotton fabric, using mod podge. This more delicate subject called for a more delicate style of embroidery; sprinkled with French knots and delicate flowing stitches for the flower stems. 

.velum and fabric layers. This version is created by printing a black and white photograph and translucent velum and placing a piece of fabric behind it; the two are then stitched together to create a multi-layer effect. 

.photo-transfer onto fabric using Mod Podge, a fairly long process. This photo of a mid-century modern building was calling for a pop-art style, and the pink thread created a nice contrast to the black and white.
