PAINTING WITH A NEEDLE - CHAMBA RUMAL
This was a craft based cluster project. The craft was the Chamba Rumal embroidery of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh.
The aim of this project was to do an in-depth study of the place, people, traditions, culture, food and craft and then to make a contemporary yet affordable garment inspired by this reversible embroidery to create awareness about the age old dying craft.
