"Stippling Hawk"
The challenge I gave myself for this was to render the entire image using only dots; no lines. As tempted as I was to use hatching for the feathers, and as difficult as it was to resist doing so, I did eventually complete it without giving in.

Starting with the pencil lines and basic feather directions mapped out...
I began with the eye and beak to start determining my values...
and then began working on the darkest portions of the feathers.
I loosely mapped out the lighter portion of the feathers and began to close in on that.
When all was said and done, the only true "lines" that were inked were the fake frame around the subject.
