Hurricane Florence hit the east coast hard and with little warning. TEGNA's broadcast news stations needed to act quickly to bring the most up-to-date information to it's viewers and online users - especially 11ALIVE in Atlanta, GA which was directly in the path of the storm. I needed to create a large library of graphics that could be used at a moments notice to help our online users get the vital information they needed.
Home Page: With the storm baring down, we needed to get all of the most vital information to our users as quickly as possible. This home page layout bubbles up content for tracking the storm, giving a way for people to help, multiple stories about the storm, dedicated links to weather radars, and a link to watch live coverage.
Individual Elements: So as to reach all of our users across multiple platforms, I needed to create graphics for our websites, the stations' social media sites, and app tiles for various OTT streaming services.
