For this project we did a Label design for Orto Vins winery (owner: Joan Asens) located in Tarragona, Spain. Our goal was to reflect the simplicity and transparency of both, the wines and Joan Asens itself. Our inspiration was the natural architecture of the mountains and structure of the vineyards of Montsant (Denomination of Origin). As soon as we tasted these two wines they gave us a sense of delight and happiness, the same feeling we get when we see a sunrise or sunset, for this reason we chose the names Vespre and Alba (nightfall and sunrise in Catalan). The colors navy blue and gold represent the moment when the sun is gone, while the white and red represent the happiness of a brand new day. Through die cut we gave this label the shape of the vineyards of Montsant. The see-through in the label represent the transparency in their work and the way they treat the product.
