This is a project that took me on a creative circle. My first idea was dear to me and included using a slide rule that reminded me of my dad. Then I added some items that are some of my favorite items like Christmas Ornaments and Yo Yos, then I tried to create a photograph to portray a friends book, but some how that idea just never worked. In the end, it was a spur of the moment photograph taken when I was done that created the image that I like the most.

In the end I chose to do the photograph that spoke to me the most visually and then once I had the visual then the book was chosen. The shoes in the photograph not only depict the time period of F. Scott Fitzgerald classic tale, but they also speak to the novels themes of overindulgence, opulence and changes in society.

Below are a few images I loved but did not use. Maybe someday I will find the right project for them, but not today.
