Harrisburg Comic Con (Practice Brief): Event Poster

This project was not used or presented to the Harrisburg Comic Con. I identified a local event and created this poster. 

For this project, I tapped into comic book elements coupled with a specific event. The layout is reminiscent of older comic books, as well as the banner across the corner. The speech bubble, dotted background, and big bold colors pull the viewer into the comic book world and effectively communicate the event. I wanted Mr. Havens to stand out as a photograph (not completely illustrated) while not disrupting the comic flow. I applied some techniques that allowed him to look slightly sketched but entirely to merge the two concepts.
