Earrings - Winter Freeze

To start of with, I glued down the winter canvas print and netting paper print back to back (a more detailed look on the canvas fabric and netting paper print can be found in my "Autumn Leaves" page). I did this so that when the earrings are made, you can see the prints on both sides, as well as having both textures. I bought the earrings from Lovisa because I wanted the shapes and rings of the metal and I couldn't find those in the craft stores I went to. Before I did this, I looked at a lot of inspirations online and offline (in stores). There were a few amazing ones.
I began sketching a few designs I wanted to find. I want to alternate the 3 designs, so I divided it to 3 categories: shapes, lines/bars and hoops/circles. Shapes will be the most clear and obvious to look at the prints because it is the simplest. Lines will be the most elegant one because of it having smaller pieces and the thin long bar line makes it look elegant and sophisticated. Hoops and circles will be the one making the most fashion statement because of its big size.
I then bought the earrings from Lovisa, as shown below. I wanted one that has a big hoop on it or a hoop earring, one with shapes and one that has a long line. I used rose gold because it suites Winter more, as it is elegant.
For the tassels, I cut out the print I made to a rectangle and cut out lines, as shown below. I super glued down the wire hoop I cut to the cutout. Also, I super glued the top part of the cutout and rolled it in place. Then, I covered the top using one line of print. I detached the earrings and replaced it with the tassel I made.
For the second earring, which is a teardrop/raindrop shaped one, I cut out a bigger teardrop shape, with a print that consists of a lot of pattern and a pretty print, than the original one and replaced it.
The third one, which is the line one, I changed the earrings for this one because I didn't like how the first one turned out, which is the one below (but detached).
It looked too simple when combined altogether. So, I changed it to this earring below, the one with a small ring at the end of the line. I just cut out random shapes, two like a feather and two that is a geometrical random shape. I placed one of each on each ring like the original earring and replaced the original with my print as well.
The earrings looks beautiful when finished. It looked very elegant and I want it to communicate elegance as in Winter, people dress up more elegant and the christmas time, the decorations are beautiful and sophisticated. It is more simple and classy.
I initially wanted it to be showed in a photo frame, so I bought a photo frame and used a foam board covered in felt. I first measured the foam board to the size of the frame and then covered it in white felt. I then glued the felted foam board to the frame base. To have a place for the earrings, I used small nails and pinned them down to the boards as so.
After all of those are done, I can now exhibit my earrings.
