ISSUE
About 8 million metric tons of plastic are thrown into the ocean annually and the amount of
plastic in the ocean is set to increase tenfold by 2020. The main impact is evident on fishes who eat plastic and often starve because they can’t digest it and it fills their stomachs, preventing them from eating real food.
ACTION
Inspired by the need to make the world a better and more sustainable place, the aim of this project is to raise awareness of the "Plastic in the Oceans” issue.
As a matter of fact not only fishes are affected by plastic pollution, but also humans who consume fishes who have at one time or another, ingested plastic microfibers.
