SHORT STORY - Disappearance II

This brief will be a combination of studio and visual communication in the form of a Design Jam. We combined techniques from old technologies (letterpress) with newer ones (digital illustration) in order to challenge printing processes and to appreciate the use of older technologies as a part of newer design techniques.
We needed to illustrate and typeset a prescribed short story from Jeanette Winterson’s The World and Other Places. You can select any of the following short stories: The 24-Hour Dog; Disappearance II or A Green Square. We were required to choose at least two sections from one of the stories that can be best illustrated and then typeset using the letterpress. This project tested our ability to work across platform and our OCD with registration.
