Revyr was my graduation project. Jan Van Moer, CEO at Van Moer Consultancy acted as advisor. The result is a wearable device that measures harmful vibrations to which workers are exposed.

Mechanical vibrations are the major cause of work-related illnesses among industrial workers. The current methods of safety inspection are based too much on estimates and assumptions. The measurements that take place are not representative because  workers operate in a continuously changing environment.

Revyr enables the safety officer to take continuous and more representative measurements. It’s a wearable that because of its ergonomic design the worker barely disturbs during the measuring process.

Vibration sensors are incorporated within two modules around the hands and a belt around the hips. The measured data is sent to a unit that processes the data and wirelessly transmits it to the cloud. A mobile app and computer program help the safety officer with following up on the workers and making reports.
