In the summer of 2016, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to study abroad in Ireland for three weeks. The course was all about the idea of mapping - not just geographically, but emotionally, personally, aesthetically, etc. I chose to map the many areas that were named after given clans of Celtic history, tying the Irish geography to its history through the very names they give these places. I compiled the designs into a coil-bound book.
