Voices was a series of creative workshops leading to a short film written and acted out by Cynthia and her brother Timnuse. The Workshops were organised by students from UAL and Awkward City theatre group. The project focused on giving a voice to children on one of the JMB estates in Elephant and Castle.
'The Obscura' was screened at a private view alongside photos and artwork from each workshop on the estate.
The participants got to learn about film making every Wednesday with new and exciting tasks that would slowly get them to the final product a short film, written, directed and acted out by them. Workshops included photography, story boarding and foley making.
