Hope Hellberg Branding

Well, it's almost graduation time, and you know what that means, folks: branding time! A great friend of mine, Hope Hellberg, is an incredibly talented fibers major. Hope is sophisticated, intelligent, and romantic, and I wanted to help her create a brand that reflects all of these qualities. Take a look at some of her amazing work at http://hopehellberg.com/
I created this mood and inspiration board for the process of Hope's branding. I compiled images that reminded me of Hope's lifestyle and personality, as well as images that reflects her fibers work.
The mark was created to show interconnectivity, structure, and texture. The blending of the two letterforms and the encompassing circle create a sense of unity. The thin strokes through the entire mark create soft texture and subtle visual interest.
I did a color variation in a beautiful eggplant purple. The combination of grey and eggplant creates a sophisticated blend of vibrant and desaturated.
I designed this business card to fit in an unusual square format to help it stand out. The designs were sent out to Rise and Shine Paper company to be letterpressed.
