Ad Libitum is a latin expression that means "at one´s pleasure, as you desire". It is often shortened as "ad lib".

The main goal of the project was to create an alternative retail space, where customers could enjoy the best of both worlds: online and in-store full shopping experience. To develop this hybrid concept, innovative applications like Smart Dressing Rooms were included. This tech tool allow the customer to navigate through a mirror digital interface, in which they can search for the product, select and change the colour or size, buy it and share it via social media, or even choose the lighting of the dressing room.
This Concept Store redefine the idea of the window shop: an exhibition space it`s created to show graphic content of the chosen gender neutral fashion label. It´s the entrance of the store, where customers can touch, see, read this material, as an opportunity to show the brand´s philosophy in a different way. There is no technology involved in this area, no mannequins, only people. This invites the customer to be part of the experience.
The second part of the store is the big shopping area, where the shop counter and a small storage room are placed in the center of the layout. Around it, there is a fitting room and the one-piece furniture where the products are displayed.
The design concept was inspired by the fashion trend of the gender-neutral clothing. This means the clothes are designed for individuals, irrespective of gender. Men and women could essentially shop in the same place. How can be this possible? Both areas (men&women) now are only one: a big, functional and minimalist piece of furniture was designed to present the product to the costumer in a different way. You can walk around it and open multiple drawers to see some products, and others are displayed on the surface, easily reachable.
Once the costumer has chosen the product, he/she go to the Digital Screen and select it there. An assistant will bring the clothes or accessories chosen to the fitting room. There is also a normal mirror where the customer can see and try the product like they would normally do.
Once in the fitting room are, customers can chill out and wait till its their turn. There is enough space inside (3m2) to easily change clothes and have the confortable and nice experience in-store everyone desires. Customers can order through the smart digital mirror to size up or down, or change the product they desire to try on, without going out of the dressing room. An assistant will bring it to them.
